A gold lacquer box and cover in the form of two joined superimposed fans. Decorated in black and vari-gold takamaki-e and hiramaki-e. The ogi (folding fan) embellished with a landscape of clouds, hills and a river interspersed with chrysanthemum. The gunbai uchiwa (waisted solid form) fan decorated with clouds and a lacquered wooden fan adorned with dragons.

The sides with kinji ground - the interior and base of nashiji. Small areas of lacquer loss to top.

Chips to edge & rim of top. Overall wear & rubbing to sides.
