Japanese Antique 100+ Yo Kanban / Hand Carved & Lacquered Wood Shop Sign

A Japanese carved wood sign coated with multiple coats of black. The writing is read in the older style from right side to left.

After 1927 Japanese signs and all other writing began to write left to right. The lacquer is in good condition, except the edges. The middle it reads "Star". It's 26 x 18 inches and 1 inch thick. (66 x 46 cm) Weight is 9 pounds.
